Session Description
This session builds on the insights from The Rest of God TOOL session (A5), but also can stand alone. Mark Buchanan explores a model of "seasonality" for thinking about life and ministry. If the goal of our lives is "to bear much fruit," then it is crucially important we know the seasons of our own heart and, beyond that, the seasons of our church. This session will discuss what each season looks like, and what is appropriate, and inappropriate, for each.
Mark Buchanan
Pastor Mark has been at New Life Community Baptist Church in Duncan, BC for eleven years, and loves both the church and the community. He is Lead Pastor, whose primary responsibilities are preaching, overseeing worship, and leading the staff.
He is also a writer and conference speaker. His books included: Your God is Too Safe; Things Unseen; The Holy Wild; The Rest of God; and Hidden in Plain Sight.
Mark is married to Cheryl and they have three children, Adam, Sarah and Nicola. They are all involved in ministry and love to bike and walk together. Mark also fishes, scuba dives, gardens, and reads widely.
