Session Description
Music is a powerful tool in children’s lives, so we need to be intentional about how we select music for different age levels and have clear goals for music we use. Cheryl and Dave will help you identify who should be on the worship team and how to coach and develop them. This TOOL Session will help make it clear, why we do worship in children’s ministry and how to develop the team that leads the worship. ![]() Cheryl Marett Cheryl is the Director of Children’s Ministry at Lakeside Church in Guelph, Ontario. Cheryl oversees an amazing, passionate ministry team of people who long to see kids’ lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ. Cheryl has spent most of her life involved in worship, and over the last few years God has burned a passion in her to teach children what authentic worship is and how it fits into their lives. There is nothing that excites her more than listening to, and watching, children engaged in worshiping the God who created them. Psalm 62:6 “Jesus alone is my rock and I shall not be shaken” ![]() Dave Wing Dave has been involved with the Rock praise and worship team for many years. He participates on a team with fantastic people – from ages 12 to 35 – all dedicated to serving God by leading kids in praise and worship. As a team, they focus on giving children "just one more" tool to use in forging a rich personal relationship with our Creator. Dave has always loved music, and is thankful for the opportunity to praise God with children. “For me, Psalm 95:1 sums it up best: ’O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.’” http://www.lakesidechurch.on.ca/home/ |
