Session Description
Those who have had the most success with Alpha know the importance of following “the recipe” of engaging the church leadership and congregation in the vision for evangelism using the Alpha tool in their church. This workshop will look at how to run an effective course, including how to engage church leadership and the congregation in the mission.
Heather Goudreau
As Director of Conferences and Events for Alpha Canada, Heather supports and oversees training initiatives designed to help equip churches run quality Alpha courses across the nation. Heather and her husband Peter, have been actively involved with the Alpha course since they attended their first Alpha conference in 1998. Since then, they have played a key role in helping churches in both British Columbia and Ontario launch and develop their courses. Heather’s passion and commitment to providing a “culture of invitation” where those who may be far from God feel safe and welcome, and can explore Christianity, make her an insightful and inspirational resource for those looking to run Alpha or to develop their existing course further.
