Session Description
The Pastorates Model is proving to be effective in building community and deepening discipleship in the local church. In this session, Archie Coates explains what a "Pastorate" is and offers reasons for supporting a Pastorates model, including spiritual gift and leadership development. Join Archie as he shares HTB’s journey, their key learnings and insights and how this successful model is expanding around the world. Archie Coates Archie is Curate at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB), London, the headquarters of the Alpha course, and an ordained clergyman in the Church of England since 2000. He is particularly involved in the day-to-day running of Holy Trinity Brompton, especially preaching, teaching, discipleship, and training lay pastors. Alpha is core to community life at HTB and one of Archie’s key roles is ensuring new Christians find a place to belong in their growing community. HTB has a weekend attendance of over 3000 across six services at two sites. The church also has over 1800 people attending pastorates and HTB has planted 15 churches in |
