Mark is the Lead Pastor of National Community Church, interdenominational in makeup and strategically aligned with several organizations: the Assemblies of God, the Willow Creek Association and the Mosaic Alliance.

Known for our creative approach to ministry and strong volunteer base, NCC is a multi-site fellowship that meets in both rented and permanent facilities for worship services and church events. While video technology ensures that everyone hears the same message, each location has a unique environment and community that we proudly embrace.

Mark attended the University of Chicago on a basketball scholarship and majored in pre-law. After a prayer walk through a cow pasture in 1989, he felt called to full-time ministry and ended up at Central Bible College. That’s the short story. Mark also has two masters degrees from Trinity University. He is the author of ID: The True You and In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day.

Mark is married to Lora and they have three children, Parker, Summer and Josiah.
